Quadriceps stretch

Why stretch?

Stretching tenses your muscles or muscle groups by lengthening them. Stretching helps to improve joint flexibility and avoid musculotendinous injuries.

 

Coach's advice: For more stability, place a hand on either side of the leg in front.

 

KALENJI & OXYLANE RESEARCH suggest:

 

1) Kneel on the ground with your right leg at a right angle, your knee directly above your ankle.

 

2) Align your left shoulder with your left hip and knee.

 

3) Stretch your right arm out behind you and grab a hold of your left foot.

 

4) Bring your left foot towards your glutes.

 

5) Hold the position and then switch legs.
