Hamstring stretches

Why stretch ?

Stretching tenses your muscles or muscle groups by lengthening them. Stretching helps to improve joint flexibility and avoid musculotendinous injuries. 
 

Coach's advice:  The more flexible you are, the higher your support can be.

1) Place your heel on a knee-height to hip-height support (the more flexible you are, the higher you can go).

2) Keep the leg that is off the ground stretched out in front of you.

3) Your leg and foot that are on the ground must face the support directly.

4) Keeping your back straight, lean towards your lifted leg and try to bring your lower abdomen closer to your thigh.

5) Place one hand on the support to keep your balance.

6) Hold the position and then switch legs.
