Calf muscle stretches


Why stretch?

Stretching tenses your muscles or muscle groups by lengthening them. Stretching helps to improve joint flexibility and avoid musculotendinous injuries. 

 

Coach's advice:  If you can't feel a pull on your left calf, push your right leg back a little further.

 

KALENJI & OXYLANE RESEARCH suggest:


1) Place your hands on a wall or another support.

 

2) Bend your right knee and stretch your left leg behind you, keeping on your toes of your left foot.

 

3) With your right knee still bent, try and push it closer to the wall or support you are leaning against.

 

4) Hold the position and then switch legs.
