Calf muscle stretch

Why stretch?

Stretching tenses your muscles or muscle groups by lengthening them. Stretching helps to improve joint flexibility and avoid musculotendinous injuries. 

 

Coach's advice: if necessary, lean against a fixed object (tree, wall, etc.) to hold your stretch position.

 

KALENJI & OXYLANE RESEARCH suggest:

Étirement mollet

 

1) Standing on a step, place your left foot in front and your right foot behind on the edge of the step, with your heel unsupported.

 

2) Keeping your pelvis straight, keep your right leg straight and push your heel towards the ground.

 

3) Hold the position and then switch legs.
